Household Support Fund (Round 7) Opened 22nd September
The 7th round of the Household Support Fund (HSF) began week commencing 22nd September and Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) has sent out a press release to support the launch which can be found here.
This round is targeted at making a bigger difference to fewer Clients in the area and is by invitation only. The eligibility criteria for the HSF has changed and Clients who previously received HSF may not be eligible this time.
There will be three different Cohorts who will be offered different levels of support based on eligibility and need. The different Cohorts have been identified based on criteria determined by the DWP and WBC and the grant will be administered by the three members of the Hardship Alliance – First Days,Age UK Berkshire and Citizens Advice Wokingham.
Over the next few months we will be contacting some people to explore eligibility and complete a full assessment of their needs. We expect all clients in Cohort 1 to be contacted by December.
We want to help everyone in the best way possible. So, to make sure that we offer the right levels of support, we are working directly with people to have an individual look at their needs, through an assessment. We then talk through what different kinds of support options are on offer that would meet their needs. Because people’s needs are different, with some needing more help than others, the options of support will be different too. This means that people may not get the same types of support as it will very much vary based upon their circumstances.
