Head of Operations

Key role purpose:

  1. To lead on the recruitment and retention of volunteers

  2. Coordinate training and development for all Staff, Volunteers, and Trustees, as well as guiding people through the Adviser Learning Programme

  3. Develop and deliver our Workforce Development Plan

Normal place of work:

Hybrid - mixture of Waterford House, Erftstadt Court, Wokingham, RG40 2YF and home working

Travel:

Some travel required across Wokingham Borough

Contract length:

Permanent 

Hours:

37.5 hours per week 

Salary:

£29,000 + 10% employer pension contributions


About the role


The Training Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, developing and managing training for both Staff and Volunteers across the organisation. The role’s focus is to ensure that organisational training objectives are set, delivered, reviewed and updated as necessary, and has overall responsibility for volunteer recruitment, training,  and eventual handover to Supervisors, who manage the volunteers once they are fully trained and deliver advice and support. The role functions in all locations that Citizens Advice Wokingham (CAW) operates. Closing Date: 1st December 2023
