Sue had a career in education, starting in schools and then in local authority roles, where she was a senior officer in Children’s Services. Sue continues to be involved with two local authorities, one as an admissions appeal education member and the other in the management of Stage 2 complaints related to SEND. Sue is a Wokingham Lion and is involved in several committees including the May Fayre and the Winter Carnival. She is the company secretary for Wokingham Theatre and involves herself in most aspects of the theatre’s work including being a member of the costume team. She sings in two local choirs and finds this aspect of her week very relaxing and enjoyable. She prioritises time with her family and friends attending plays, concerts, musicals and socialising. Sue became a trustee because as a local resident who supports her community, the service that Citizens Advice Wokingham offers is key to helping those people, who find themselves in situations where independent and impartial advice is needed.
