Role: Chief Executive Officer
Salary: £28,250 actual + 10% pension

Hours: 32 hours per week (4 days)

Our CEO is retiring at Christmas this year. We are looking for a replacement to start on, or around 10th December 2018 in order to have a few days overlap. Reporting to the Chair of the Trustee Board the Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for the operation of Citizens Advice Wokingham, ensuring that it is adequately funded and that it operates within its agreed business plan. The role also includes public liaison with funders and other interested parties. A track record in project planning and execution is essential.

We believe that knowledge and attitude are equally important to this role and are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference to people’s lives.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and enjoy working as part of a lively, busy team.
  • The ability to manage people including the ability to develop and motivate staff and volunteers.
  • A record of effective financial management and budgetary control.
  • A good knowledge of IT systems and packages.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
