We are looking four people to join our Board of Trustees

Are you interested in leading a local charity that really makes a difference to people’s lives?

Citizens Advice Wokingham is a successful and highly regarded local service, providing information and advice to help people resolve their problems. The sort of issues we help with include benefits, debt, employment, housing and many other related problems.

We have an experienced and skilled trustee board which actively supports the Chair in the delivery of its functions. The board is also complimented by experienced and high performing staff.

For the last two years running the charity has also received the highest rating of all 5’s/‘excellent’ in its annual audit covering nine leadership areas including governance, financial management, operational performance, equality leadership and people management.

Our Trustee Board takes overall responsibility for our organisational direction and focus.  The trustee role is a strategic role and we are looking for four individuals who can help us to continue shaping the charity for the future.

No prior experience of being a trustee is required.

You can read more about our work in our Impact Report for 2018/19 – and there is lots of other information on our website www.citizensadvicewokingham.org.uk

We welcome applications from all sections of the community to enable us to have a diverse trustee board that reflects our clients and communities. We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic communities, who are currently underrepresented.

In the first instance, please contact Jake Morrison, Chief Executive, on 0118 978 7258 or email admin@citizensadvicewokingham.org.uk for an informal discussion of the role.
